If You Only Hold Me Tight...

Jamie + Carl = Married!!

The last four days have provided me many memories in the two beautiful states of Wisconsin and Minnesota. If you've been following my blog then you would already know I was there photographing a long lost friend, Jamie Schwendinger. Speaking of getting lost, that and losing really important items seemed to be the theme of this wedding! But alas! Everything ended perfectly and as a memoir, the first photograph captures Jamie and I's first adventure of the weekend. We were on our way to the hair salon somewhere in Minnesota.

Here I am shoving my head out the window, admiring the incredible scenery. Jamie is driving (rather fast down familiar winding roads) and Alicia is sticking her head out the window. Good times.

I was honored to accompany the princess all weekend and although I have been out of her life for the last almost 8 years, I didn't realize how emotional I could get at her ceremony. You were stunning, Dah-ling, and surrounded by those that support and truly care about you. The pleasure was all mine

It was threatening to rain the whole ceremony but it didn't sprinkle one drop until the reception.... The clouds made for dramatic photos.

Look at the minister in the bottom left corner! How sweet!
Oh man. You think this is great. I think we took only one serious portrait the whole evening!
Then during the reception... it poured. ;) For a brief moment when the rain recessed I went outside to capture everyone frantically putting chairs away, peeked back into the reception hall and noticed this...
No cake cutting this time, but we did capture a quick kiss with their incredibly cute cake toppers!! Soooo classy!Speaking of classy, this is Jamie's Grandmother. She said she couldn't stand the hat, but I loved it.

I can't forget to mention how beautiful Jamie's parent's ranch is. I know, Annette, dandelions are weeds, but they sure are pretty weeds. ;)

Congrats again, Jamie!!! You're officially a wifey!!

I don't know how you do it. You are an amazing photographer which just also explains you as a person. I absolutely love the one of the bride in the window. I am so proud of you and so proud to be your sister-in-law or as I see it the sister I was looking for, for years. I love and miss you.
