Old Things, New Experiences

A few months ago a handful of old cameras came into my possession. To be honest, I was familiar with only 1 or 2 out of the 10, including a Polaroid Land Camera from '48, '69 and twin lens.

My friend/mentor in the film department Kristin, went through them with me and along with some more research I was able to convert my Pronto! S Polaroid Land Camera (circa 1976-77) into use with 600 film. This is the camera, along with my 35 mm Canon Rebel that Johnny and I took to Six Flags Saturday night:

(Still waiting to get my 35mm film developed.)

We arrived at the park around 5:30 and left at 9:45PM and only 3 or 4 of the 9 (10?) coasters were running! Very disappointing but the experience overall was worth it. Johnny road the Goliath twice, once was enough was me. Then we both road Tony Hawk's Big Spin. When my father was stationed at Lackland AFB-- I was in elementary school-- we used to go there and Sea World all time. It's fun going back to these places that you remember to be so grand!

Doesn't it seem like everything you revisit from your childhood seems so much smaller? :)

Anyway. Have lots of errands to run today--Mondays are usually like that. In the middle of uploading/moving small event sites from to my website. Going to try to find more polaroid film this week. Anyone have any leads??

Have a wonderful week!

Looks like you guys had a good time. Do you know that the whole time I was stationed there, I never went to Six Flags or Sea World. Your brother and I never went even though we had lived close to both over the 5 years we were there.
