music monday :: imogen heap

I was first introduced to Imogen Heap with the song Hide and Seek. It was unlike any other song I'd heard. An acappella aria, as a New York Times columnist called it. A synthesizer. Simple melody with a meaning not easily understood and as is almost all of her music, with the rise and fall of sharps and flats, it's almost haunting. And she's British! Fantastic.

To be honest I didn't even know Imogen Heap was a woman's name until a few months ago. It's beautiful.
In this song, I love the start on the down beat...

Although this video creeps me out a bit, it's a great song as well...
